Clawfinger Frontman Says 'Big American Stars' Slayer Put On 'Lame' Show At Nova Rock

CLAWFINGER frontman Zak Tell has posted a report from the band's appearance at the Nova Rock festival, which took place June 15-17 on the Pannonia Fields in Burgenland, the easternmost federal state of Austria (near Nickelsdorf and the Hungarian and Slovak borders). An excerpt follows:
"Jocke (Skog, keyboards) tried to say 'Hi' to the SLAYER guys from MESHUGGAH, as they had asked him to, but being the big American stars that they are, they (SLAYER) didn't really have time to listen to what us peasants had to say. They were too busy being the biggest stars of the evening. Too bad their show sucked ass! We stood in the crowd for about 15 minutes really trying to enjoy it, but in the end we simply realized that it was fucking boring. No show spirit worth mentioning, just big attitudes and no knowledge of how to communicate with the fans. Of course they get away with it because they're SLAYER, but it was still lame, if you ask me!"
On the topic of the new album's lyrical direction, frontman Zak Tell recently said, "Paedophilia, addiction, death, suicide bombers, self-esteem issues and misers are a few of the topics I've chosen to write about this time around. Not very uplifting stuff, I guess, but hey that's just me and it's not as if I actually plan it, it just happens, I promise! There are a few positive lyrics as well so it's not all gloom, doom and troubled thoughts. A majority of the tracks are though."
"Anyway, I guess there are a few different reasons as to why I chose to write about the stuff I do, the logical one being that the music we play is of a slightly aggressive nature and therefore inspires darker lyrics, although that's not entirely true as we also have softer and less serious songs and I sometimes also break free from the given formula. Most of the time I don't, though, out of fear of getting lost! The second reason is that it's simply my outlet for all the less pleasant things that go through my head. My everyday life is fairly normal and family-orientated so to get some sort of balance I use CLAWFINGER as my frustration ventilator or whatever you want to call it!"

so, turdfinger got punked out...and this is serious enough to tell us slayer fans about....well, this is a dissappointment as more and more non-essential news articles keep appearing....whenever something of importance is needing to be told, tell us then...until, these rockstar wannabes need to quit crying....

why cant people spell the word "they're"----its not "there" when refering to people..."there" means "over there"..."its right there"....damn, did 99% of the people here fail english class...using shortened spellings to mean some words is ok, we all do it, but by misspelling simple words you make yourself look illiterate.....

Honestly, maybe Slayer really was pressed for time, and Clawf*cker was just p***ed that Slayer didn't say hi...So when asked about the show, of course they'd say it sucked, since they really just had it in for them...
Really, under no circumstances, and that means even if its discovered that Kerry King eats infants before every show, you NEVER sh**talk Slayer

Meshuggah asked Clawfinger to say "hi" to Slayer for them, was the understanding I got out of it. The funniest part is that he never explains what actually happened, and nevermind Meshuggah were ironically too busy to do it themselves :P . Sounds like the time my roomate got puked on by Phil Anselmo and suddenly Pantera was the suckiest band ever, the poor baby.

I definitely prefer Slayer indoors to outdoors. I've found lots of bands not sounding that intense or interesting outdoors. They always seem happy to be performing and to be there, so I couldn't imagine the reaction Clawfinger got from them. Maybe they were just doing something or in a rush about something at the time or just didn't want to be bothered. They are people too...

I've been to Nova Rock festival, I am a big Slayer fan, BUT their show really sucked... Horrible sound, no energy what so ever, no communiaction with the audience... I left after 5 songs... I've seen Slayer in Detroit 2004 Ozzfest, their show was also more-less boring and sound just horrible... Although their albums are great, their shows suck!! On the other hand Clawfinger was amazing, I dont have single album, but their show was great!!! Definetely second best act of Nova Rock after Machine Head!!

Wow guys, I never expected all these reactions for something I just wrote on my blog but that just goes to show you how fast silly gossip travels & how big stars become untouchables just for still being around! Me not liking the show had nothing to do with the fact that they didn't have time for little us & our message from meshuggah, I simply thought they were lame onstage that's all! I still like a bunch of their albums (their;D) but that doesn't mean I have to worship the ground they walk on! Next time I'll try & be more articulate when writing something negative about "metal gods", shame on me for thinking I could get away with being honest;D

These guys from Clawfinger are preaching the same old leftist/egalitarian dogma that has caused so much damage to white societies. We need to free metal from the regressives of the left who use the music as a tool to indoctrinate people . Clawfinger has a song called "n*****" that is supposed to make whites feel guilty for some reason. I wonder why they don't write a song about the inordinate amount of black on white crime. The FBI Stats for 2005 revealed that in that year there were over 7000 cases in the US of blacks raping white women. In that same year there were less than 10 reported cases of whites raping blacks. So much for the MTV/Clawfinger?Rage Against The Machine/Napalm Death/Dead Kennedys bullsh** about "white privilege" , etc. In Germany some bands are in prison for writing lyrics that praise their granbdfathers who fought in WW2. Do you think the guys in Clawfinger care about those "human rights" abuses against white youth?

YEAH ITS REVERSE RACISM AND ITS A DIFFERENT WORLD TODAY NOT SO MUCH ABOUT RACE AS MUCH BUT ABOUT MONEY AND POWER SO U HAVE ALL THESE RACES FIGHTING TO HAVE POWER OF THE WORLD ITS ALL JUST ONE BIG POWER STRUGGLE. I WISH WE WERE ALL ONE RACE CAUSE ITS A LL WRONG BLACK ON WHITE CRIME OR WHITE ON BLACK CRIME..... ETC. .....ETC....
