LA rockers, Five Finger Death Punch, have officially inked a deal with Firm Music, a branch of the highly successful entertainment talent management company, The Firm. The band will release their debut opus, THE WAY OF THE FIST worldwide on July 31, 2007.
THE WAY OF THE FIST was recorded at Next Level Studios by Stevo "Shotgun" Bruno (MOTLEY CRUE, PRONG) and at No Name Studios by Mikey Sarkisyan (SPINESHANK) with mixing and mastering duties being handled by Logan Mader (MACHINE HEAD, SOULFLY).
The label are excited about the addition of these metal-vets to their roster. Deb Klein, GM for Firm Music says about the signing, “We were so excited to bring FFDP into our fold. We believe that this band’s material and live show speak volumes. With our company’s history in the metal world coupled with this bands mastery of the genre we are poised for world domination!”
Euro-Metal veteran and previous U.P.O. guitarist, Zoltan Bathory, was the architect of what has morphed into Five Finger Death Punch, recruiting standout studio Metal drummer, Jeremy Spencer to add his trademark ‘double-bass mayhem’ to the equation. Vocalist, Ivan Moody’s previous band, MOTOGRATER, had played to huge crowds on Ozzfest and beyond, while guitarist Darrell Roberts toured with metal legends W.A.S.P.. Matt Snell, bassist of acclaimed experimental outfits ANUBIS RISING and DEADSETT, completed the circle by lending his considerable fretboard mastery to the band’s music.
You can check out some of FFDP's material on their MySpace page.

Yeah, that's like when Crazy Town was on Ozzfest 2001. I've never seen so much shxt get thrown at one band! Well, other than Andrew WK. At Ozzfest 2002, he got pelted with hundreds of Slim Jims. They were giving them out at the door, since Ozzy wasn't there. Watching him get rained on with tons of processed beef sticks was one of the most surreal things I've ever witnessed. I almost shat my pants laughing.

This band is amazing, there talent is limitless. Ivan Moody has the same charismatic presence as Phil Anselmo had when he was the vocalist for Pantera. I expect this band to have enough strength to rise above and beyond people's expectations. I know I will be one in thousands that will back them the entire way.
