AC/DC To Tour Australia?

Unconfirmed press reports over the weekend have suggested that AC/DC want to go on a massive tour of Australia next year, visiting regional centres such as Alice Springs to thank the fans for their loyal following. No official confirmation or discrediting of these rumours has yet been forthcoming.

They are more hard rock than metal, but let's be honest - metal bands rock! Well, the good ones, anyway, hahah. And besides, Led Zep were hard rock, and many now consider them the founders (along with Black Sabbath) of metal. And then there's the fact that the term 'hard rock' has become practically synonimous with 'heavy metal' in contemporary popular usage.

but in general usage these days (probly not so much by those who know what they're talking about, I'm talking GENERAL (ie people like christian priests, who GENERALLY wouldn't know the difference between Metallica and Mayhem) the terms are basically one and the same. For example, when referring to 1960's/70's metal, most of it SHOULD be called hard rock, but can (and is) also considered heavy metal.

Hopefully if they ever realease anything again it will have a stripped down production and it wont be over produced for the commercial dumbed down american market like their last couple of offerings. Will they ever soar as high as Bons 'Powerage' again? I wish. As Neil Young famously said - its better to burn out than to fade away. Brian now sounds like Marge Simpson.

As these are unconfirmed press rumours, there are no dates because we don't even know if there will even actually be a tour yet.
