Ozzy Osbourne On Touring: "This Could Be The Last One"

Could this year's Ozzfest be the end of the road for Ozzy Osbourne? The 58-year-old metal legend says it's entirely possible.
"At my age, I don't know how many more of these tours I have left in me," Osbourne tells Guitar World magazine. "This could be the last one."
Osbourne founded the annual summer metal festival in 1996, and it has since grown to become one of the largest and most popular tours.
Although the singer stated in 2006 that he would no longer make regular appearances at Ozzfest, he announced in February 2007 that he would headline this year's tour. "I owe my audience something," he says. "I owe them everything."
But he admits the pressures of the festival are taking a toll on him. "It's a hell of a lot of responsibility for me. If I get sick or if my voice gets blown out or whatever the fuck happens, and I can't make a show, the audience gets pretty fucking mad."

Well, he did the "No More Tours" tour in 1995, and that was supposed to be the last one, but he did the "Retirement Sucks" tour in 1996, and since then, he's given 11 more years of touring. I give Ozz his props, but I think he's earned his right to retire. As long as he doesn't put System of a Down at the helm again.

Ok so I have been hearing this for years. For the past 10 years he has been talking about retiring and for about the last 4 or so Ozzfests, he said it would be the last one. If it isnt his last one, I wont be suprised. But if it is I think he is going out on one of the sh**iest Ozzfest lineups in its history. Needless to say, I will probably be at Ozzfest considering it is free and there are about 3 bands I really want to see.

I've heard this song and dance a few times. Whether he retires or not matters very little to me, I've never been a big fan of Ozzy, I saw him 4 years ago and he was ok, nothing special. I will say this though, if you haven't seen Ozzy live and you are a fan of metal I suggest you make the effort to see him once. He is a legend and you may regret not seeing the guy if you get the chance even if you aren't a big fan.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was his last tour. It sounds like after each Ozzfest tour, it gets harder and harder for him (especially last year). If this years Ozzfest does well and his new album does well...then he might want to go out on top. If that is the case then Ozzy will probably hand Ozzfest over to Zakk (in my opinion).

The first time I read that headline I thought it was from 1991. I think that was about the first time we got to hear the "this is my last one" speech. And it's bullsh**. As long as Ozzy has a breath in his lungs, Sharon will make sure he is paraded on stage every year so she can have as much cash as she can possibly get her hands on.
I honestly don't see why Ozzy stays married to that woman. She must do things in bed that would make Angelina Jolie look like your hand. And I just now realized how gross that sounds. I apologize for that.
