Eyes Of Ligeia Disband
Doom metal band Eyes of Ligeia have decided to call it a day. Dante, the band's leader, has issued the following statement: "After nine years, the cycle is complete. Eyes of Ligeia has been laid to rest, having accomplished all that was meant to be. No further information will be forthcoming."
Eyes of Ligeia signed to Paragon records in 2005 and released "A Fever Which Would Cling to Thee Forever" through the label, which would be their last release.

We had all those guys dying at once not so long ago and now it's the breaking up part...soon it will be reuniting galore followed by mega band creation...and finally metal bands will switch to rap music...that's the forecast for the incredible world of metal music...

What he means is "After nine years, nobody knows who the hell we are so, fxck this shxt. Maybe next time, we'll try to be a little more original and creative so someone remembers us. I mean...uh...the cycle is complete!"
Someone should send these guys one of those greeting cards that plays music when you open it, only it'll play loud raucous laughter. And it won't stop when you close the card.

It's not a hardcore band but here's another band breaking up. I've never heard of them before
