Korn's MTV Unplugged performance is now available at MTV.com. The performance will air on MTV beginning on March 2nd with the album hitting stores on March 6th. Guests include members of THE CURE as well as EVANESCENCE singer Amy Lee.
Singer Jonathan Davis told Launch Radio Networks that one of the most challenging aspects of the show was figuring out which KORN songs would work well in that style. "It was hard," he said. "It's like, we had to pick the songs that we thought were good acoustic. We tried a lot of songs out. Some weren't great, some were great. We have a lot of albums, so we had to pick songs off each album. It was difficult, but not that bad. We all chose songs that we wanted to do. We tried 'em, if they worked, good, and it ended up being in the set list."
The band will make its first appearance ever on NBC's "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" on Thursday, March 1.
As previously reported, KORN is currently recording its eighth studio album and plans to release it this summer. Veteran rock drummer Terry Bozzio is filling in for original KORN drummer David Silveria, who is taking a hiatus from the group.

For anybody that has been watching Korn since their debut release way back in 94' should know that right now they are in their experimenting stage in their career. After they released their first greatest hits album they started to experiment with different things. They were the first metal band to put out chopped and screwed versions of their songs and also did a mash-up with Dem Franchize Boyz. Them like Antrax were taking metal into unchartered territories. You can hate it or love it. There is no in between. Personally I think guitars sound a whole lot better plugged. Bands like Staind, Nickelback and Nirvana sound great plugged and unplugged. Korn unplugged and they still sound great. The melody and structure of the songs are still there and that's what counts in a good song. Overall I loved the performance that Korn did.

Just hearing "Freak on a Leash" unplugged made me squirm.
Kind of like when someone is really embarrassing themselves for several minutes on end but aren't aware of it.
I actually enjoyed the first two Korn records, not great albums by any means but decent ones, they only went downhill from there though...
The latest album is unfortunate.

I havn't seen the Unplugged performance yet, I will watch it 'cause I give everything a chance but for the past couple albums KoRn has deffinently been on a train that should have stopped a long time ago... so I don't have high hopes for it, especially since they are having Amy Lee in on it and I never hide my hatred for her with her ego that has reached the point of eating itself by now... They just need to go and start a bunch of solo projects because they are excelent musicians and all, but they just arn't writing good music anymore. And anyone who says otherwise... I reallllly don't want to know your taste in music in fear of it making me vomit violently.

Yeah, right now they ate experimenting the WE SUCK HUGE TIME STAGE IN OUR CAREER. WE SHOULD QUIT BUT WE WON'T.
So realize people that this is the stage that they ahve been experimenting for the past few (many) years. Korn unplugged ? That would have benn a great unplugged if no sound came out of it...like really really really unplugged.
And Tim, shut up !! You are using 2 names here so we won't fall for it. Get a life. (see nickelback tribute to dimebag post)
