Van Halen Tour Postponed Indefinitely
According to Pollstar.com, the VAN HALEN tour that was never officially announced is now officially postponed indefinitely. The rumored tour took on an air of reality after a trade magazine announced that original singer David Lee Roth was about to sign on the dotted line, and that was soon followed by a press release via Eddie Van Halen's spokeswoman-slash-girlfriend. Unfortunately, the worldwide frenzy of a VH reunion was too good to be true, at least for the present day. However, there was a lot of paper getting inked and Pollstar states that a tour announcement might not have been far off.
Sources also tell Denver's Rocky Mountain News that VAN HALEN's performance at next month's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony may also be in jeopardy too.
A few days ago, RollingStone.com uploaded the first official photo of the new VAN HALEN lineup, featuring the group's new bassist Wolfgang Van Halen (son of VAN HALEN guitarist Eddie Van Halen).
In an exclusive interview with RollingStone.com, VAN HALEN singer David Lee Roth stated about his first post-reunion jam with Eddie, "Eddie and I wrote the songs, every note, every syllable, as if we invented a language that only we can speak. It was an easy, natural thing… When you speak a language that you both created, it's natural to go, 'I know you.' So it was very easy. There wasn't any stumble at all. I just showed up, and twenty minutes later, it was the usual, 'How's the wife, how's the kids, let's play.' When you're born to do that language, you speak it naturally. I never forgot it."
On how rehearsals are going, Roth said, "The chemistry is combustible. There's an explosive sound there that is, I think, perhaps... unless you were there, which most folks weren't, than you may have forgotten. This is really sophisticated, smart stuff. Everybody's at the top of their game in terms of... it's not just intangible things. My voice is arguably better than it was when I left the band back when. I love what I do, perhaps for some different reasons now than I did, more so than I did. It's a privilege to do what I do for a living."
VAN HALEN will be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame on March 12 at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City.

Haha, I f***in knew these guys wouldn't get it together. They haven't announced the reason yet, but I can tell you all what probably happened to get this thing cancelled. Roth probably mouthed off to Wolfgang during a jam session, and Eddie nearly killed Roth for it. I'll f***in bet ya...
Anyway, let's get a poll going around here. Which does everyone here think will happen first: The Van Halen reunion tour with Roth, or the release of Chinese Democracy? I for one am completely split on this one.

Okay, this is getting nucking futs. I am so dissapointed! When will the members of Van Halen realize that (without knowing the exact details of THIS time's quits) it's not about their egos or their pocketbooks, but it's really all about the people (fans) and the music! I have been so hopeful that there will be a Halen-Roth reunion over the past few years as it's been touch-and-go but I'm now
officially off the alert. I've been teased and duped too many times.
You guys are really letting us down, because you're all really GOOD entertainers and you make awesome music.
Such a shame.

Well so far brothers and sisters of metal it is an a$$ kicking for the ages. it is currently 5-0 for Van Halen before Chinese Democracy. The suspense is unbearable...will axl fool us in the end. Will Eddy Van halen stay true to his word (not worth that much in my book anyways...) ? Cmon fellow metalheads, put your votes in...

Since I last said I was split on this, it looks like it's time for me to vote. And I'm going to make it 6-0, in favor of VH.
What changed my mind was when I heard that the release date for Chinese Democracy has been pushed back AGAIN, this time to september. I'm starting to think that this album doesn't really exist at all.

Heavy Metal is far from Hard Rock the only similarity is the instruments. they are played different with less power and The lyrics are what really inspired Heavy Metal. Led Zeppilen, Black Sabbath and others like that Van Halen is more fun sound compared to it....They paved the way for bands that are more fun than serious, and Dark......VWO 4 Life MUTHA FUUKKAAS!!!

antihappy's right. it's all generally the same. rock is really the only genre that has like 500 sub genres. but i think the term "metal" is being used too loosely. some emo suck a$$ bands are being called metal. everybody knows they're not, but the emo f***s think it is. because of this, metal heads are being called emo and emos are being called metal heads. cuz if i wear a f***ing zeppelin shirt, people think that's "emo."
P.S. VAN HALEN f***ING ROCKS

P.S. Valentine you have no f***ing idea what your talking about. They're good, rock and metal is generally the same. Look at Led Zeppelin, that was considered heavy metal bad in the day, now days it's "classic rock." Notice the word rock. It's pretty much the same thing.
