Sanctity Interviewed On Metal Injection

METAL Injection, the video-on-demand site, recently had the chance to speak with Jared MacEachern and Jeremy London of Sanctity. The band discussed many topics, including being a young band signed to Roadrunner, their forthcoming LP, "Road to Bloodshed," their experiences on the road, and Dave Mustaine. When asked if the band had any words of advice to other up and coming bands on how they can get signed to a major label, they said "Practice...practice...practice...practice, and never stop. We just played show after show after show. Get your name out there. Let people see you, let people hear you, and you never know. The right person may be at the right show."

"The year before we got signed we played, like, 194 shows, as an unsigned band, which is like four or five shows a week. It was ridiculous for a while. We played as much as we could. I think that's really the key. And playing shows...there's only so much stage work you can do while at practice, but really playing out is what gets the bands; you get used to the crowd responses. 20 to 2000 people. 20 people is more intimidating than 2000 people because you really have to impress those 20 people. And, we got used to that."

These guys are great! I saw them a couple of years ago in Spartanburg, SC; and man, they play a mean cover of "Blinded By Fear" by At The Gates.
