Brian Fair Checks In With Shadows Fall Update

Shadows Fall vocalist Brian Fair has posted the following update on the band's official web site:

"It has been an insane week for everyone in Shadows Fall!! I just got off a plane from LA, spent the entire day at the passport office and will board another plane and fly to Europe tomorrow. No rest for the wicked my friends. The worldwide release of THREADS OF LIFE is on the horizon and it is full steam ahead.

"I want to take a quick second to congratulate Slayer for winning the Grammy for Best Metal Performance and give my respect to all the other bands that were nominated. It seems like the Recording Academy is finally beginning to understand what this music is all about and giving a platform for some amazing and deserving bands!! Horns up!!

"We were just in LA last week filming the first video from THREADS OF LIFE for the song 'Redemption'. I have never been this excited about a video before. Our good friend Zach Merck pulled out all the stops and helped us to create an epic!! I don't want to give too much away but this will be the most visually insane video we have ever made. Imagine a twisted comic book view of an everyday man thrown into an extraordinary situation with the band rocking out on the rooftop of an old hotel in downtown LA. This video is going to have a very original vibe that stands out from all the others being made today and really adds a new dimension to the song. Thanks to Zach, our two lead actors Jay and Kristen and everyone on the crew for making this amazing. I'll let ya know when it is going to be released. There is a lot of post production work to do so it may be awhile but I can not wait to see the final product.

"Matt [Bachand, guitars] and I will be heading to Europe tomorrow for a two week press tour. We are going to hit as many countries as we can to spread the word about the upcoming release of THREADS OF LIFE. I wish we were playing some shows while we were there but hopefully we will be able to schedule some dates later this year. We will have the weekend off in London to catch up on our drinking so if you happen to see us wandering drunk through the streets feel free to take us to a pub and buy us a beer. We always rely on the kindness of strangers. hahaha.

"Once we get back we will be in full rehearsal mode for the Jager Music Tour with Stone Sour and Lacuna Coil. As we said before we are incredibly excited to head out on our first tour in a long time and to debut some new songs from THREADS OF LIFE. We have missed hanging out with all of our drinking buddies around the country but fear not!! We will be coming through soon!
