Marilyn Manson Reveals New Album Title

MARILYN MANSON has set "Eat Me, Drink Me" as the title of his new solo album, according to a posting on his official web site. The shock-rocker is currently putting the finishing touches on the CD, which is tentatively due this spring. A world tour will follow.
In an October 2005 interview with MTV.com, Manson described the music that he was working on for the follow-up to 2003's "The Golden Age of Grotesque" as the "most guitar-driven" and "most original that I've heard created. This record has a very unpleasant attitude toward itself, and I expect it to be — without sounding like someone who says this every time they make a record — something above and beyond and different — sonically, emotionally — than anything I've done."

Golden Age of Grotesque was a laughingstock.....Manson has had good material in otherwise dismal or average records, but that one was terrible from end to end....
He surprised me with Holywood though, one of his poorest selling albums and probably a creative benchmark for him.
wicked, should be an awesome album!
but, even though i'm atheist and everything, i'm hoping he tames the controversy about God and Jesus and all that, because I've seen some pretty nasty stuff about him that even a manson lover like myself can't deny is just plain out of order for manson to say or do.
I started to follow your music back in like september to october of 2006, your first song i heard was "tained love". Then i started to fall in love with your music. Manson, i hope you enjoyed making this record and i'm looking forward twords it. Have a great day, year, and, have fun recording the rest of your new record.
P.S: what was the last record you made, and what year did you make it?
to the post above me:
im not sure if I would say that he is the best metal musician of the century. I think that is an overstatement. however, I will say he is one of the best performers live ever. he's easliy in my top three, along with tool and slipknot. he is one of my influences musically. as for the god stuff understand this, im catholic and what he does doesn't bother me. im not one of those nuts that is protesting him cause of what he says and does. its all part of the music. its a show. like slayer. they have all this stuff about satan and hell, yet the singer is a practicing catholic. so its all an image. its not real. just sumthing to think about
I'd have to say with Manson it's probably not a complete show. He really does enjoy pushing the envelope over the edge. And, even though I might not completely agree with whatever Manson says, I admire his audacity and drive to convert the odd into the normal. He's truly an innovative inspiring artist. And I mean artist. He's crazy brilliant too.
I'm for any artist that can ruffle peoples feathers (on a mass scale, "household name" level) and still have something of substance to say.
Manson of course doesn't rate with say Sabbath in that respect and his output is spotty at best. Though there are some 'moments' of greatness on Antichrist, MA and Holywood.
I'm no fan but I'm glad he's out there. This generation is woefully short on huge icon, shock rockers.

Really truly looking forward to this album, and the chance to bash some heads at a concert too.
Hope it doesn't suck!
