They lost the "thing" that drew me to them when they went from being the band with that unique "S.C.I.E.N.C.E" album to that pretty boy sounding band that they currently are.

SCIENCE was good, but the one b4 it sucked, Fungus Amongus. Morning View sucked too. I've never hear Crow Left..., maybe everyother album is good....stay away from the new one then.

Make Yourself was a perfect record IMHO-not at all classic, but everything was done right. Before that, they sounded like Primus, after that they were good for a few amazing songs that completely overshadowed the rest of the record. 'Warning' off of Morning View was perfect. "Wish You were Here' is another great song but the rest of the record pales in comparison. I wish these guys would be more consistent.

Science and Makeyourself drew me for the sunny sounding melodies and overall quirkiness.

It was rock radio done well, better than Nickleback, Creed, Trapt, Limpbizkit and what ever else was going on....Morning View was more or less a repeat of Make Yourself with less energy....CLOTM was technically impressive but very cold feeling....forced I guess.

Fantastic bassist(Dirk) and drummer for their style...Main reason I even checked these guys out was the bass solo on "Redefine".

I havent heard one thing from this new album as I now have a car stereo that reads a 4 gig usb drive....and the fact that rock radio sucks.....I shouldnt be reduced to longing for the days of grunge, but so it goes.

every band's gotta change and adapt to survive, granted I dont enjoy their new stuff as much as S.C.I.E.N.C.E. and Make Yourself, but the more I listen to it, the more I enjoy it's differences. what really sucks is trying to get tickets to a concert which is impossible or expensive...

I've heard about a quarter of the record so far and I'm actually a little impressed that Incubus made this kind of a record after doing A Crow Left of the Murder. It has the kind of vibe that Make Yourself had, at least partially. It's one of the few new rock records worth buying right now.

I'll check it out when xmas giftcards start pouring in....

With all the heavy, fast and lo fi (early Napalm here I come) sh** I'll be getting, something simple melodic and catchy would be nice to have to offset the chaos.
