Tommy Lee's Sexist Remarks Fuel Supernova Pre-Determined Theorists

Conspiracy theorists who think 'Rock Star Supernova' had a winner selected before the show even began can point to Tommy Lee's comments in the December issue of Blender magazine. The Motley Crue and Supernova drummer initially commented on winner Lukas Rossi how he hoped the Canadian singer "adapts - some don't and they get this dreaded disease called LSD: Lead Singer Disease. They turn into fu**ing jerk-offs." Lee then raised eyebrows contemplating a band led by the show's runner-up, Dilana Robichaux. "Could you imagine a lead singer with the dreaded lead-singer disease and a girl who's on the rag," Lee asked. "Can you imagine?! I wonder which one's worse. That would be good, an egotistical female singer who's having a that-time-of-the-month-thing -- hah, that would be some fireworks. A reality show you could film only once a month."

i think the saddest thing about this is that "Manufactured Bands" has moved from the pop world to rock! its horrible , i mean the only member who i used to have any type of respect before this mess was jason newstead, and not because of metallica but becaue of voivod. the rest are rubbish and i could understand them trying to keep their faces out there trying oh so desperatley not to fade.its really funny, my girlfriend wathced that shot, and it killed me to hear these wannabe vocalists butchering some classics.come one, there is soo much creativity out that there and bands trying their hardest to make it work for them , and we get SUPERNOVA featuring tommy lee , jason newstead and who ever else is in the band. weak.

Dilana won that show and she is so much better off without them! Doing her own thing will be the best for her career, she would have been the star and no one would have even noticed the band much! Thats what Tommy was afraid of! Not being the centre of attention!

Dilana is a throwback...perfect for an 80s hair band. And her ego would most definitely have been a disaster if she'd won the lead. What she had going for her was a unique voice. Other than that, no songwriting skills, poor judgement, and an incredibly self absorbed personality. People who behave like she does are why women get the PMS label. Otherwise, they'd just have to call her a_____ . Men get their share of labels too, based on testosterone...so whatever.
Now Storm Large, there's a role model for women. Strong, smart, sexy, takes no crap from any man, yet does it in a humorous and loving way. No excuses, no apologies necessary.

I heard a couple of song's of the record.They were catchy at best but sort of reminded me of VR ever so slightly.I hope the disc is not like that.It would be a tell tale mark that they are trying to immitate something else.Theirbye confirmeing that this project has no real integrity and is simply another attempt of corporate America to violate the sanctity of real music & impose their cookie cutter tactic's on it.Causeing the true music fan's to turn on these otherwise talented(although Tommy's a JACKASS)musicians.

I think Tommy was politely saying Dilana was a b**** during the show , and he could only imagine how much worst it was going to get. Remeber Dilana said and did some back stabbing b****y things on the show and that just turned the guys off, as well as most of the viewers . Lukas won this fair and square and was the best person for the job !

One more thread for you all, Tommy and the boys have said this was Butch's c/d , ..they will drop their sound this summer. They are recording new tracks while they tour. That is why they have not named the band yet , not because of a court order they were never going to be just "Super Nova" it was always " Rock Star: Super Nova" . The original band was told that in the hearings , they just wanted the press.
I think this c/d was only a glimps into what the band really wants to sound like.
Everyone should just stop the assumptions regarding this band, this band has to pay the show producers off with this c/d to fulfill their contracts then when they are free they will drop us a rock solid c/d.
Personally I love Lukas and I cannot waite to see him on tour.!
But mark the bands own words they will "drop their sound this summer sometime".

Can barely contain myself here....this is ludicrous! First of all-Dilana did win this thing-she is touring, doing her own music with a wonderful manager and a great band. She will do just fine on her own-thousands of times better than RSSN will ever hope to do! Secondly-for those of you who are totally ignorant to who this woman is-she is the least self-absorbed, egotistical person you could ever hope to know! She is a personable woman who knows how to treat her fans. She is confident in her abilities as a performer as she needs to be in this industry. Please curb the personal attacks unless you have personal knowledge otherwise. This show was edited to the "nth" degree to make for good TV-that's it-enough already!

To the comment about "manufactured bands": How does any band fomr? Several musicians get together, then they audition for a singer or drummer or whatever, and when they find a musician that fits their style they pick them. The only difference with Supernova is they went through the process on TV and took into account audience preference. How is that "manufactured"?
And as for them being seasoned musicians who USED to be in big name bands, that happens all the time. Bands break up or change their line-up, musicians move on and form other projects. They don't just STOP being musicians because their old gig ended, any more than a schoolteacher would stop teaching if his/her school closed. They find another gig.
Just because YOU don't like T. Lee or Lukas or Gilby doesn't mean they aren't a real band.
