The Used Tap Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin Sounds
Since the release of their last album, 'In Love and Death,' two years ago, it's been fairly quiet on the Used front. But there are increasing signs of life, including the release of a DVD, billing on the Taste of Chaos tour and a new album due in stores early next year. Guitarist Quinn Allman has trickled out some more information about the band's forthcoming third effort, telling Guitar World magazine that the first single will be the song 'Handsome Awkward.'
"[The song] sounds like Aerosmith got into a fight with somebody," Allman said in the January issue. "It sounds like Steven Tyler's gonna have a seizure. It's definitely blues-y and based off a really good guitar riff. Definitely a heavier, riffier Zeppelin kind of style."
As previously reported, the band re-teamed with producer John Feldmann for the as-yet-untitled effort. "The record is brand new, a couple of great songs, a couple of heavy songs," frontman Bert McCracken told AOL. "We've been hiding away for a while, but we're pretty stoked."

why does everyone on this damned site call something they dont like emo? just cause someone tries (horribly) to scream or yell or sound impashioned to not so heavy music does not make them emo. confusing sh** like this with greats such as fugazi and rites of spring is pure ignorance, so f***in quit it already.
