DevilDriver To Enter The Studio Soon
DevilDriver frontman Dez Fafara has issued the following update on the band's MYSPACE page:
"Fuck yea!!! Here's what's happening: We've been writing and have more than enough material to go in the studio. The band is going to Mike's [Spreitzer, guitar] today to lay the last song down on his computer so I can begin my writing on it. Stay tuned for an anouncement of who we are using to produce the next record.
"We enter the studio, Sonic Ranch, in El Paso Texas on November 13th and will be tracking by the 14th. We will work up 'till Christmas, then come home. The music will be recorded in Texas, and I will be doing vocals here in our hometown of Santa Barbara on about January 7th or 8th. The mix will begin in February and March. We would like to see a summer release, around June-July 2007. We would like to be back on the road in late February or early March.
"Hope to see all of you back on the road soon. As always, thank you for your support."
DevilDriver's The Fury Of Our Maker's Hand (Special Edition) hits stores on October 31. You can preview one of the bonus tracks off of it, "Unlucky 13," here.

hehe...
Zyklon man said Hammerfall in the same breath as the mighty Nevermore and COB....funny.
Have to admit I was impressed with some of "Fury"...Namely "Ripped Apart" (aimed at Morgan Rose I'm guessing), "Hold Back the Day", "End of the Line" and the "Fury of the our Makers Hands"....
...Not so much the Devil Driver debut and Coal Chambers debut had 3 or 4 good cuts but the rest of their output was garbage.
Dez needs to get a handle on his lyrics a little...hit and miss imho, but his vocals make up for it....Great guitarists, excellent drummer. Nice little unit in terms of the overblown New Wave of American Metal thing...Catchy, heavy, and fast and way too easy to digest....twinkie metal!
I'll check out the new DD.

can't f***in wait devildriver are VERY good I think they will go pretty far. Both albums are good but I think there is still room to grow. I can't wait until that happens. I believe in the next few years or so they are gonna pull out some suprises and get very good. Also don't come here just to blast a band there is no point and it shows you have no life. I mean c'mon were all f***in metalheads here, lets not fight and show the world what f***in music is. Devildriver are great and like I said I think will go far in out big crazy family of metal bands
