H.I.M. Become First Finnish Band To Sell 500,000 Copies of an Album the United States

H.I.M. have become the first Finnish act ever to sell 500,000 copies of a record in America. Last year's 'Dark Light' has just past that milestone.

As previously reported, H.I.M. cancelled their fall US tour in favor of entering the recording studio to record new material for their forthcoming album for a 2007 release.

i love finland. not because of H.I.M....but i liked finland before it got famous of all the metal/goth/mainstream/bam bands...and bam margera..while speaking of him. so yeah.
H.I.M. is okay i suppose...i used to like them...but got too mainstream for me.
anyone else think H.I.M. is too mainstream? or just plain suck? i don't know. just wondering.

Yeah, H.I.M. is not that great of a band...they do suck. But that's pretty amazing of an accomplishment CONSIDERING CHILDREN OF BODOM IS FINNISH AND THEY ARE 1000X BETTER THAN H.I.M.!!!!

H.I.M. are alright, but they're by no means the best Finnish band out there. To name a few, COB, Kalmah, Nightwish, Eternal Tears of Sorrow, Catamenia, and a whole bunch more are better than H.I.M. It just goes to show most Americans will buy anything that is modeled by some guy who can do skateboard tricks (Bam Margera) or is made commercial and superficial instead of anything with real substance.

HIM has a more popish sound and thats why they sell, althought it is wierd becouse they have the hole satanic symbols that of course they changed from a pentagram to a heartagram and all of the goth vampire stuff witch is sort of look down on in the mainstream. Personal i think metal shouldn't be mainstream. i think people who like it feel more close to it because it isn't excepted. Metal is meant to rebal agenst mainstream society. H.I.M. is not really a band I get into.My girl likes them that's the only reason I'm reasonably familliar with them.Their stuff lacks ball's.

However I was reading Milo Manera's CLICK series ounce while my girl was on the treadmill and had the new disc blareing from the her boom box.I must say it created a nice atmosphere for the stories I was reading.

But would I listen to H.I.M just because I felt like listening to H.I.M........Uh NO !!!!!!
