Mayhem's Use of Animal Parts On Stage Causes Stink

MAYHEM's appearance at the recently held Gates of Metal festival (Hultsfred, Sweden) created quite some commotion in the press. Firstly due to the band's striking live show and secondly to the attack launched by Animal Rights Sweden who condemned the use of animal parts on stage.

In Sweden it is only allowed to use animal by-products in an artistic context with the approval of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries. The permit needs to be obtained up forehand.

MAYHEM is currently concentrating on the upcoming live dates and the preparations for their new studio album and do not wish to comment on the event at this time. Questions can be asked during the promotion for "Ordo Ab Chao".
