New Black Label Society Album Pushed Back To September
Roadrunner Records has pushed back the projected U.S. release date of the new BLACK LABEL SOCIETY album, "Shot to Hell", to September 19 from the previously announced July 3, a spokesperson for the label has confirmed to BLABBERMOUTH.NET.
"Shot to Hell" will be BLACK LABEL SOCIETY's first release for Roadrunner. The album is the follow-up to "Mafia", which debuted in March 2005 at #15 on The Billboard 200 chart and at #1 on the Top Independent Albums chart. The top rock track "In This River" from "Mafia" was recently included on the "MTV2 Headbangers Ball: The Revenge" album, also available on Roadrunner.
BLS, who have secured a second-stage headlining slot at this year's Ozzfest, will tour the world extensively in support of the new album. BLACK LABEL SOCIETY mainman Zakk Wylde is also writing and recording with OZZY OSBOURNE for his new CD, to be released sometime next year.

that's a shame, 8 weeks w/o a single "HIMMM!!!!", however will we survive? :P
yeah, wolfmother are from this side of the die. they've been on the radio for months here. they'v got a pretty strong following already, actually. it's the kind of music that somehow blends oldschool 70/80s psychodelic rock with modern alternrock and manages to for the most part to get a good fanbase from both genres. even the mainstream crowd dig them down here. personally, i love them. if you check out one of their videos you'll see why. the music's great, but they really have a presence on the stage, and they actually get right into their music. they'r their own biggest fans in a way, which is really refreshing to watch and see people making music truly because they love what they'r making. they remind me of a band that i cant remember the name of...dont think it was whitesnake...ummm...fie....nope, skipped my mind. oh well. or maybe it was whitesnake...lol, i'm confusing myself. bottom line, i think they'r def worth checking out. esp if you can catch one of their music clips.

"Roadrunner Records has pushed back...."
** Notice it's says "RR has..." not Wylde.
Another case of Roadrunner trying to throw about their weight, of which they have very little left as it should exist in the case of extreme music... they're signing major names now like Wylde (who's a-ok with me), and Hatebreed (who bore me to death). Besides that who do they have? Chimaira (probably the best band on the label), DevilDriver, Ill Nino, Stone Sour, Slipknot, COF, Opeth, Machine Head, Soulfly, 36 Crazyfists....
Some bands that regularly find their way into my disc player, but...
Century Media & Nuclear Blast. That's where it's at.
They don't seem to comprimise their artists.
