Stone Sour's "Come What(ever) May" E-Card Available
A STONE SOUR e-card for the band's upcoming sophomore album, "Come What(ever) May", has been launched at this location. The tracks "Reborn", "30/30-150", and "Through Glass" can be heard on the e-card, and the video for "30/30-150" is also available for viewing. The clip, which was shot in Los Angeles with director Paul Brown (MÖTLEY CRÜE, OTEP), received a "Headbanger's Ball" premiere this past Saturday, June 3.
A Roadrunner Records representative recently confirmed to BLABBERMOUTH.NET that the release date of the new STONE SOUR album, "Come What(ever) May" (view cover), has been moved forward to August 1 from the previously announced August 22. The CD was recorded at a Los Angeles studio with producer Nick Rasculinecz (FOO FIGHTERS, VELVET REVOLVER) and marks the group's first effort since the departure of drummer Joel Ekman. Ekman has since been replaced by Roy Mayorga, who had previously played with SOULFLY in addition to recently completing a European tour with SEPULTURA. You can watch a clip of the band working in the studio, with a rough cut of new track "Reborn" used as the soundtrack.
STONE SOUR's new album will follow up the group's 2002 self-titled debut, which went gold and featured the hit single, "Bother".

Even though I enjoy a good grunging death vox metal jam, stone sour are one of the laid back bands i tend to enjoy when i feel like hearing something non-intense and destructive. It's cool to listen to whatever floats your boat from time to time. but I can't stand to listen to one genre over and over again so it's fine and dandy to mix up the genre juggle, stone sour are alright by me.

OK, let's get some things straight.
1) Slipknot are nu-metal. That is correct.
2) I am not a Slipknot fan. At all.
3) Stone Sour are not nu-metal. They border on it, yes, but putting them in the same class as Slipknot is simply offensive.
4) I am a Stone Sour fan. We see Corey actually making some decent music here.
5) Don't give me that 'Black/Death Metal is waaay more extreme than this d00d!' bullsh**. I know that, I listen to it.
6) Labels don't mean sh**. If you don't like them, get over it. Note that I don't take the same attitude to Fightstar ;)
Thankyou.

Self titled Slipknot Album was Legendary, Iowa was O.K SUb Vers Was not slipknot besides 3 songs, and Stone sour is sh**ty and makes me think Slipknots Next Album will be sh**tier than stone sour, there losing from what they came from and trying to make things Radio friendly. which is bullsh** thats not slipknot, and what i thought wasnt Corey Taylor But no matter what Joey will always be my Drumming Idol.

I agree, lables are RETARDED! Stone sour kicks ass, and so does Slipknot. They are two TOTALLY different bands, jackholes! Who the f*ck cares if they are nu-metal or not..... If you're in the mood for hard sh*t then listen to Slipknot, if you want to hear more EMOTION, put on Stone Sour.... it is still Corey...... and he is awesome and VERY talented.
