An Account of the Guns N Roses Acoustic Birthday Tribute for Actress Rosario Dawson

For those of you who don't know Rosario, she's one of the most down to earth, sweetest celebrities I have met; Dawson is best known for her performances in Men in Black and Sin City.
Dawson arrived at the Plumm in New York on May 18, 2006 to celebrate her 27th birthday. After getting a huge hug from the birthday girl, we watched as Axl sang 11 tunes, including “Used to Love Her,” “Mr. Brownstone” and “Sweet Child O' Mine”, as well as the quintessential “Happy Birthday” song.
Before the set, a few models were sitting on top of the seats at Lenny Kravitz’s table. A model in Tommy Hilfiger’s party was getting annoyed as their legs kept getting in her way. Later I noticed a tussle—albeit low key. The models involved were pulled out of the club, Hilfiger’s body guard pulling him out, right after. Kravitz followed behind Hilfiger, leaving Plumm. Rose took the stage a few minutes later to perform the song “You're Crazy,” dedicating it “to my good friend Tommy Hilfiger.” Apparently a fight also broke out between Axl and Tommy Hilfiger, when Axl moved a drink that belonged Hilfiger's girlfriend.
Kid Rock seemed to side with Axl, as did club owner Noel Ashman, who stated: “Axl was a gentleman and had the good sense not to retaliate, as he would have done some serious damage to Hilfiger.”
Aside from that minor scuffle, the party was incredible; everyone was dancing and singing along to the songs. At the end of the performance, Rosario thanked Axl on stage, giving him a huge kiss on the cheek.
