Slayer havnt disappointed yet, and how long have they been going? there's so minimalistic a chance that they would go metallica-style now, after all these yeas of solid metal output, that there's just no point bothering to wonder if the release will be good or not. we already know it'll break all hell loose. and with Rubin executive-producing, i think it's safe to say this'll be one of the biggest selling metal (nu-metal bs not included) albums of the year. contending, obviously, with Tool's new effort.

I can relate brokenface. I don't think they will ever sell out metallica style, but I can't help worry a bit that this release may not stand up to the hype. First, Paul is gone and Dave is back. Now I'm the first to admit that Dave is a legend and played a major influence in the evolution of metal; however, Paul is the man( just listen to shovel headed kill machine). Second, I'm always weary when something gets pushed back multiple times. Last, Tom is having a hard time with his vocals. I hope i'm wrong.
