A representative for Ozzy Osbourne has issued the following statement regarding Ozzy's previously announced guitarisst search:

"Ozzy would like to thank everyone who took the time to send in submissions to be his new guitar player. At the time we announced the search, Zakk Wylde's itinerary with BLACK LABEL SOCIETY was quite overwhelming. Fortunately, Zakk has now been able to go back and rearrange his schedule to make sure that he would be available to write, record and tour with Ozzy in 2006 and beyond. Therefore, the search for a new axe man has been called off. We sincerely apologize to all of the talented musicians (and there were lots of them) who were excited by this incredible opportunity and we wish you the best of luck with all of your future musical endeavors."

Typically Ozzy, lies and half-truths. He's so incoherent anymore he prolly can't even remember Randy Rhodes anymore.

Ozzy said that he'd like to do a more mellow record...and Zakk just wrote a fairly good one in "Hangover Music." So, maybe this album will be alright...it seemingly won't be like the last...but I am sure that I'll give it a listen.

That's awesome f***ing news! But, hey, lighten up on Ozzy people.
All the bullsh** is just trivial. He's still Ozzy, and now we can look forward to
another record with Zakk. We all know that Zakk will not let his name be associated
with anything doesn't meet his standards, so be greatful we all have a good
album to look forward to.

Ozzy hasn't impressed me in some time with his output but his career as a whole is nothing short of legendary.

The Zakk Ozzy pairing is a very good one (though I miss Randy too, Diary of a Madman is the most well crafted song of it's era) one I would like to see amount to a record that Ozzy can call his masterpiece and farewell with.
Ozzy deserves one last good shot at making a big impression on the world and he has the greatest likelyhood of doing that with Zakk.

Even though Zakk is a childish tantrum throwing child, he is very gifted.

Post 1 is right. Ozzy can't do anything without a guitar player, i.e. Tony, Randy or Zakk. And the more s h i t Zakk puts out the better. He's just about the only pure guitar slinger around anymore (r.i.p. Dime). Without Zakk, Ozzy ain't crap!
