KORN's new album, "See You on the Other Side", is available for streaming in its entirety at MTV Italy. The CD was produced by Matrix (AVRIL LAVIGNE, THE MOONEY SUZUKI) and Atticus Ross (BAD RELIGION, NINE INCH NAILS, PINK).
In related news, a press conference with KORN and eight U.S. soldiers whom the band have brought from London to New York for a few days of well-deserved leave is scheduled to take place on Monday, November 28 at 6:00 p.m. at an as-yet-undisclosed location in midtown Manhattan. The soldiers — who have served in either Afghanistan or Iraq and are currently on leave in Frankfurt, Germany and Venice, Italy — will join KORN and MTV Europe contest winners for this "See You on the Other Side" chartered flight and special performance in connection with the release of KORN's new album "See You on the Other Side".
KORN's one-off gig at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom on November 29 will be taped for a half-hour special on MTV2 airing December 3 at 9:30 p.m. and December 6 at 10:30 a.m. KORN will also be hosting MTV2's "T-Minus Rock Countdown" December 6 at 11 a.m., and the Hammerstein show will be available online via MTV Overdrive in early December.

I must second Kmadd as well. Korn have made some terrible music over the years...With the first two albums being ...interesting, dare I say even decent and every following record a larger more steamy sh** heap than the last.
But this is a noble gesture.
It's not the fault of the troops that they've been sucked into a war that historians will call a grand folly of our era....But their lives are on the line regularly and this had to have been a treat for the men and women in the service.
I'd like to think other well off bands with a social consciousness (maybe SOAD or Audioslave) could pull off something similar for the troops or their family members.

Ok am I the only one that noticed that this piece of sh** cd coming out is actually produced by the same idiot that produced AVRIL LAVIGNE? I bet you Korn heads are really pround of that huh? If I knew one of the bands I listened to was produced by a bubble gum pop producer I would find a new band to listen to.

16. writes:
This does bolster their image, but it doesn't change the fact that korn could have saved whatever expenditures were used to get those soliders to that show for themselves.
...eesh "korn killa" thats the most nu-metal nickname I've heard in my entire life. I figured someone who hates korn so much would want to distance themselves from any similarity. Then again, Korn drone on about agony all the time, maybe the name isn't surprising after.

I think lordagony has more raw anger (which wins alot of fights) because his life is such a public joke, but all the rage in the world is useless if you're just some blubbery computer-chair bound chronic d*** yanker.
He's got one hand on the mouse and one on the dirty equipment...Which one is he throwing punches with?....We can't count on his feet since they have atrophied from lack of use. We can rule out blocking entirely....Maybe he can land a headbutt.....I dunno.....
My $20 is on the dude who likes asian chicks simply by default.

It's not like I could know that....I --know--that lordagony is a chronic wanker. But other than your head and heart being in the right place metal-wise, I was pretty much just banking on you being able to outsmart lord-slug-body-agony.
Given this new weight training info I suppose doubling my bet would be the wise move.
and asianfetish really called the bit about him being an in the closet korn fan. Lordagony is considering buying the new album.

Lord agony you'r still around ... i thought you might have taken my advice by now and crawl up your mothers uterus.
I don't think asianfetish would kick agony's a$$ cause i doubt agony would be man enough to show up.
i've realized something ... i have'nt seen agony post anything positive on a bands page so i'm guessing you're a loser who f***s his hand all day while he sodomizes his mother with a razor dildo and is beaten savagly by his father not to mention the only music he listens to is that pop crap on MTV.
I hope one of these days your father feels sorry for you and he just puts you out of your pain while he beats with a golf club or another blunt object.
You said we're going to hell well so are you cause did'nt you gat the memo they don't let d*** heads and a$$ holes into heaven.
And when you're in hell you will have the pleasure of being tourtured by me and trust me your fathers beating will be like a slap on the rist compared to what im capable of.

WELL, i've got it. The new album, the one with the 20 songs. You know what? i like it. I was prepared for the worst, but i honestly like it. I think its the best effort they have put forth at least since issues, maybe even as far back as peachy. Metal elitists will probably still complain that it is mainstream, and cite the inclusion of non-metal producers to the mix as a travesty, but what they came out with is a heavilly layered goth-industrial mix that actually doesnt suck. Its like Untouchables with better writing, better lyrics, and some old school korn bagpipes and scatting mixed into a morbid industrial thread. There is VERY little hip-hop influence here, so much so that Fieldy is really a background bit player, but it does lend itself to a more straight up, cleaner metal sound at times, but to say that overall this album distances itself apart from the others is an understatement, but in a way that i think really works for them. If they play this right, they may even matter on the big stage again, as its been a while since they had something original to say, and now that they have it, lets hope people give them a chance. Oh, and Head gets tore up on one of the better songs of the album, "Liar", which is also, bad for him, probably gonna be one of the songs that gets big, as its one of the most successful songs at displaying the new sound with a lot of well placed breaths of the old school sound (that for once don't feel forced). This is, as a warning, going to be an album that requires muliple listens, as it is dense, but i will go on record as saying that so far i like it better initially than the last couple (Untouchables and TALITM) which got boring fast, and it seems to have stronger legs to carry it than FTL and Issues. Twisted Transistor is by far the poppiest song on the album, but dont let it fool you, not only does it sound better on the album with a much cooler intro that the commercial cut, the album as a whole is actually less commercial sounding than they have sounded since they actually were underground. The songs are longer, the guitars are actually interesting (as a guitar player myself i realize how simple they can be, this is a step up), and it is dense in a way that most songs wont appeal to the aweful standards by which singles are picked these days. The closest thing to "nu-metal" i have listened to in a while is the Deftones (whom i adore and cringe at calling "nu-metal"), as otherwise i find the genre bland and cliched, as Cold, disturbed, godsmack, Breaking benjamin, trapt, Linkin Park, they all suck, and they all are whats wrong with the radio (that and Emo). But this album could in reality be Korn's "White Pony" (as opposed to the St. Anger" everybody thought it was gonna be, sorry Metallica, still love ya, but you know what you did), and a reason to listen to them again. I know this was long, and i am not here to bash anybody, so please dont bash me for speaking my opinion. In summery, i liked this album. i think i will end up liking it a lot once i give it a few listens and let it sink in. (i also think that the video they came out with is really funny, some kid was playing it on a pc in my art class, the class was crackin up, but for all you rap haters, that is the most rap you see on the whole album, and i say "see" since its only visually in the video, and not in the audio whatsoever). Give it a chance. really. its not bad at all. i think its "good" right now, with the possibility of being "great" once i let it sink in a little bit.

Since i essentially have an unopened official deluxe version, i hadnt realized that the final three tracks that i have from a high quality rip on my PC were actually different than what on the CD. The tracklisting that i have been litening to is identicle to the Deluxe edition through 17 songs, but the final 3 that i have been hearing are apparanty B-sides that the ripper included instead of the videos the real deluxe edition has. The B-Sides are actually really good, and i was suprised to find out that they were just that. These tracks, which arent on the official version (i think they are on the TT ep disc in europe or something) are "Too Late, Im Dead", "Appears", and "Love My Way" which is actually aparantly a cover, but i have never heard the "Psycadelic Furs" version before, so it was new to me. Id recommend downloading those songs and tossing them into the overall playlist, they fit right in with the "official" deluxe album.

Needles and Pins, as a Korn fan who anticipates failure in this album, I'd like to have one last breath of hope and take your word on it....So I'm gonna get the album with what you said in mind. I REALLY HOPE YOU'RE RIGHT...
RememberMetal? I said that ("Gee thanks for the default RememberMetal? *sarcasm*") in jest with you dude, you're always awesome as f***!
LordAgony, I'm convinced you're a Korn fan in r/l...considering you're knowledgeabe of Korn, you've basically put down info that i already knew. And I've read everything I possibly could about Korn throuhout the *roughly* 4 years I've known of Korn and been a fan of Korn............Yeah go figure, I didn't know much about Korn OR METAL for that matter until about 4 years ago. I have this best friend (who's like the big brother i never had) who showed me Metal genre when I was like 13/14, and I thought it was awesome. Then I heard this song that I didn't know the title of, I didn't know who did the song, but I liked it and I was wondering what the song was...Then I was talking to him and I asked who did that song, and he didn't know what song I was talking about, so I went thru a bunch of his CDs to look for that track and album and artist. Turns out the song I was wondering about was Korn's "thoughtless" on their Untouchables Album. So I borrowed the CD (for a long a$$ time). Then I heard "Alone I break" and "no one's there" on that album. Then after Looking into every store for everything they've ever done, I now have all their albums...And I've been a Korn fan ever since. Now I got into everything else that is considered by many metal fans as "real metal"...Mostly Black Metal, Death Metal, and some Gothic Metal....All because of a "brother" who got me into Korn...

Okay Rulin, bash them I shall...
But who you might ask is the main reason why I hate this band?
Fieldy of course. Of all the bands that I have heard or seen, noe of them compare to the arrogance and absurdity of Korns bass player....
What kind of name is Fieldy anyway?
This a-sshole Filedy has some goddamn nerve stringing that garbage bass around like hes hard when hes the BIGGEST POSER IN METAL!!!!!!!!!!
This dips-hit has no real career, if you think that:
Puting out "Rock N ROll Gangster" was a bright idea. Even Fred Durst isn'that stupid....
He sucks at bass too. How come I never see this retard on the cover of "BASS GUITAR" ever? I mean I never see this idiot on that magazine ever...
The guy looks like a hairy goateed Snoop Dogg honkie with a big dumb grin on his face, just the grin makes me want to smash his face in with a sledgehammer...DO YOU EVER LOOK AT SOMEONE AND JUST WISH SOMEBDY WOULD KICK THEIR ASS? THATS ME WITH THIS IDIOT....
"Look at me yall down wit da butt-sex crips?"
This poster child for anal sex should be strung up and beaten with his own bass....
And don't bother defending him, you cannot tell me cornwos and figaro chains are metal so shut the hell and get over yourselves....
Heres an example of this dipsh** for all of you who dont seem to get it....

Oh yeah, someone should tell him he looks like a fag with his braids outside his hat...

Asianfetish, if you liked Untouchables that much, you will dig this one, because it takes the better elements they hinted at with that one and just makes a better stab at it this time. It s a very "thick" album i have realized, after listening to it twice in a row, i had to take a breather and throw some other stuff on, but so far, day 2, i still dig it and am finding new stuff i like about it. by this time last album, i felt i had already heard all that it had to offer, which was solid, but nothing that would last over time, as i havent even played it in over 6 months. I would have to say that this album is far more "Industrial" metal than Nu, sometimes coming off as a cross between The Fragile, Untouchables, a rock opera, and a dash the Self titled thrown in for recognizability and to reach the anger quotient people expect.
Does anybody picture LordAgony to sound/look like Gollum/Smeagol from the Lord of the Rings? hahaha

any of you who remember korn when they were viciouse, tell me you didnt get chills when that motherf***er jon just starts shredding in the middle of "Liar", scatting like he's in the middle of a goddamn hurricane, and the riff is pretty killer. this album is the heaviest sh** they have put out in a WHILE! \m/

I bought thier new cd from a friend, who in turn, bought back the cd to give to his girlfirend....
You see, you would have offended me if i had actually bought the GODDAMN thing from TOWER, DIMPLE records or VIRGIN records or something like that, but alas, I DIDNT.....
Every band gets a precentage of the profits from their cds, its very small, but they do...
Korn recieved nothing from me by buying the cd from someone else who already sold thier soul by caving into the no talent a-ss clowns and buying this radio-friendly crap...
I DID NOT GO IN TO A MUSIC STORE TO PURCHASE THIS NONSENSE, SO THERE...
I DONT EVEN HAVE THE RECORD ANYMORE DUMBASSES, I LISTENED TO IT, MADE WHAT ALREADY JUDGMENTS I HAVE CLEARLY EXPRESSED TO YOU TOOLS MANY TIMES BEFORE (OF THE ALBUM), AND SOLD THE CD THE VERY NEXT DAY AFTER I BOUGHT IT....
SO YOU ONCE AGAIN HAVE YOU HAVE NOT ONLY PROVEN TO BE UNINTELLIGENT, WRONG AND AS USUAL MINDLESS SHEEP, BUT YET ANOTHER REASON WHY I ADVOCATE ABORTION....
TRY COMING UP WITH BETTER ARGUMENTS AND JUST MAYBE, MAYBE, ILL LEAVE YOU ALL ALONE, BUT I DOUBT IT....

Thank you deathbringer for putting this article on. Okay first of all it's been fun no really fun duking it
out with guys i hope you know i was just kidding around and no one on this site should take shiit
seriously. But i am afraid im going to upset Lord Agony and some of my other partners in crime.
In stating that and I posted this on blabbermouth.net as much as i dont care for korn's music
or hip hop style it took a simple yet honorable gesture to get me to stop bashing them and I guess
that will be to Killer Crash Punch and perhaps deathbringer's relief. But as a veteran and recently
rejoined Army reservist I thought taking those members of our Armed Forces away from that harsh
environment of war or hell sometimes military life in general and putting them on a plane and
sending them to a party in new york to just get away from it for a while was one of the coolest thing
for anyone to do. I would'nt cared if korn just did thisfor one servicemember I know you folks are against
the war me included but please dont bash the troops there job is not easy and for korn to do this for them gets
respect for them in my book not their music but the band and their management in general as decent
people. So with that you guys have fun. I'll be on the other threads trying to stay positive. (hehe)
