Staind Premiere New Single & Music Video "Ghosts''

Alternative metal band Staind released their latest single, “Ghosts,” this morning. The track is also expected to feature on the group’s forthcoming album, which they finished recording this spring with producer Erik Ron (Godsmack, Papa Roach). An official video for “Ghosts” has also been filmed and is available to watch below.

Guitarist Mike Mushok recalled how the song came together:

“We went down to Nashville for a writing trip with Erik. We had gotten together, and I came up with the riff on the spot. From there, Erik and I put the track together in just one day and finished it up. Aaron listened to it a little later and did this really great vocal over it. ‘Ghosts‘ ended up being a very dynamic song.”

Frontman/guitarist Aaron Lewis added:

“It seemed like everybody had gravitated towards ‘Ghosts‘. It’s a little different, and it surprised all of us. It’s got some heavy elements, but it’s certainly melodic too. It’s definitely Staind.”

While a new album is on the horizon, Staind still have plenty of nostalgia in store, having recently announced a second U.S. leg celebrating the 25th anniversary of their 7x platinum album “Break The Cycle” for early 2027. The first leg of the trek, featuring Seether, Hoobastank and Hinder, will wrap up next week. The newly announced dates will retain the same supporting acts and begin in March.
