"some music was meant to stay underground..."

thrown Premiere New Single & Music Video "critic''

Swedish nü-metalcore band thrown‘s new track “critic” received its premiere online, streaming via YouTube and Spotify for you now below.

With no commentary from the band, a press release offered the following explanation of the new single:

‘Fueled by venomous vocals, bone-crushing grooves and explosive breakdowns, “critic” is a ruthless response to a culture obsessed with opinions, metrics and manufactured controversy. Rather than entertaining the constant stream of unsolicited judgment, thrown turn every accusation, hot take, and clickbait headline into pure creative fuel.

With lines like “All of a sudden everyone’s a critic” and “You really think I care if you don’t fuck with it?,” the band makes one thing abundantly clear: Outside validation means nothing when the music speaks louder than the noise surrounding it.

Lyrically, “critic” dismantles the obsession with streaming numbers, self-proclaimed experts and those desperately chasing relevance through negativity. It’s a fearless statement about staying true to your vision while refusing to be distracted by online outrage or empty commentary. Brutal, direct and relentlessly infectious, the track captures thrown at their most confident and uncompromising.’
