John Carpenter Premieres His New Single "Revenge" Alongside The Release Of His 'Cathedral' Graphic Novel
“Revenge” has arrived as the final advance single from John Carpenter's upcoming multimedia project “Cathedral.” The legendary filmmaker and composer behind classics such as ‘The Thing’ and ‘Halloween’ is pairing a graphic novel with a metal-leaning companion album for the release.
The album features Carpenter alongside his son Cody Carpenter and guitarist Daniel Davies, blending his signature synth-driven sound with heavier influences. The “Cathedral” graphic novel was just released, through Storm King Comics, marking Carpenter's first venture into the graphic novel format.
A visualizer for “Revenge” has also premiered. The accompanying album will follow this Friday, August 7th, via Sacred Bones.
