Melting Premiere New Single & Music Video "The Sword" From Upcoming New EP “A Pathetic Excuse For A Life”

Australian metalcore band Melting are building momentum toward the May 29th release of their new EP “A Pathetic Excuse For A Life” with the debut of a new single, “The Sword.” The track offers a brief preview of the record, clocking in at just over a minute in length.
Guitarist Alex Bertuna said of the song:
“The EP as a whole tackles some very personal, dark and heavy topics for Xavier, but I wrote ‘The Sword‘ to be something of a ‘stop letting life happen to you’ kind of thing. Stop begging for guidance, figure it out yourself, hold the f*ckin sword.”
Offering a broader perspective on the EP as a whole, the band added:
“The way we see it – every song is pointed at a different kind of person that can make your life feel like hell. There’s an undertone of overcoming it running throughout though.”
