I dont care what anyone says, they are no Haunted, or Arch Enemy, but In Flames is none-the-less a very solid Swedish metal band and a trendsetter that influenced countless other bands (ie. Killswithc, Shadows Fall, and almost all the NWOAHM bands) w/ their earlier albums....I cant wait for this release

I dont care what anyone says either... In Flames are good no matter what they do, without them, I dont think Melodic Death metal would be any where near where it is today. Hell, I dont think half the bands we have today would sound anything like they do without In Flames

Im a little worried about this direction I hope they turn into sweden's answer
to Norma Jean or any other metalcore/fashion core garbage. I didn't mind
their newish metal sound on the last 2 cds. It's still was decent Swedish
melodeath thrash.

Other people's ignorance is a lame reason to wish a genre would die as well as to change the style of your band. If the mainstream opinion prevailed, all metal would be dead.
