Goth metal veterans Paradise Lost have unveiled their latest track, “Tyrants Serenade,” marking the third single to emerge from their upcoming studio album, “Ascension.” With the record still a few weeks out from its September 19th release, fans can tide themselves over with the newly released music video for the single, once again helmed by director Ash Pears (Bloodbath, Katatonia).

Frontman Nick Holmes shed some light on the song’s meaning, sharing the following statement:

“Observing the death of an individual, and subsequently, how the transition of seasons evokes fond memories. The God of Malevolence serves as an internal voice to dismantle those cherished memories and reintroduces the initial anguish of loss.”

The band have lined up a special record release show along with a string of signing sessions to take place shortly after the arrival of their 17th studio album:

09/20 Sheffield, UK – Bear Tree (4PM BST) – Signing Session
09/21 Birmingham, UK – HMV (2PM BST) – Signing Session
09/22 Leeds, UK – Brudenell Social Club (7PM BST) – Record Release Show
09/24 London, UK – Rough Trade East (12PM BST) – Signing Session
