Last summer, multi-platinum metal veterans Mötley Crüe introduced their live cover of the Beastie Boys’ 1986 hit, "(You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party!)". After performing the cover numerous times, the band has now released a studio version of the track.

This release feels like a full-circle moment, considering Mötley Crüe dropped their own song titled "Fight For Your Rights" in 1985 on their 4x multi-platinum album Theatre Of Pain. Interestingly, the similarly titled Beastie Boys track, which seems to be unrelated, appeared a year later on their diamond-certified debut album Licensed To Ill.
