Belphegor's Bassist To Miss Upcoming Shows Due To Health Concerns

Belphegor recently announced that their bassist Serpenth will be unable to participate in the upcoming shows due to health issues. As of now, there hasn't been any information released regarding a replacement for the upcoming performances.

Serpenth, will be taking a break from live performances due to health reasons. Although the official statement did not directly come from Serpenth himself, band founder Helmuth Lehner clarified that Serpenth remains a part of the band but will be temporarily stepping back from live appearances:

“Due to health reasons, Serpenth has to take a break from touring,” he says. “He doesn’t want to make people worry about him, and therefore I respect and honor his personal space. He has always been a very private person, not seeking attention, and that’s admirable, especially in these times.

“Mr. Serpenth has marched by my side for 17 years; we played numerous tours and festivals together that took us several times around the globe, creating thousands of great memories.

“I value him not only as a skilled musician but also on a personal level, as a comrade, a very loyal partner in crime. I wish him all the best and extend a big thank you for his dedication to Belphegor all these years. I hope he can regain his health and return in the near future.”

The band still has several remaining European tour dates, listed below:

12.12.2023 – UK – Sheffield, Corporation
13.12.2023 – UK – Manchester, The Bread Shed
14.12.2023 – UK – London, Underworld
15.12.2023 – NLD – Sneek, Het Bolwerk
