My opinion of RR has never been too lofty, especially in more recent years. Often the label completely mistreats it's few good bands and sires a bloody ton of sh**ty ones......

However, they have signed a respectable number of good artists (GlassJaw, Trivium, KSE, Testament and others) and a few great ones(Opeth, Type O, FF).....and many of them are on this album so like some sheepish bastard I'll probably end up buying this even though I've been screaming about how vicious of a label they are/have been.

I profoundly doubt Slipknot are nazis...It's certainly not in their lyrics and if it were true I'm sure it would have emerged at this point for as long as they have been around (in one shape or form).

This is a bad-ass album overall. All of the songs with good vocals are good, as it's filled with tons of good musicians as well. The only songs I don't care for are the ones in which the vocals are weak and set a weak pace for the song. But the first two tracks on the album, The Dagger (KSE Singer) and The Enemy (Chimaira singer) make it worth it alone :-)

i would have to totally disagree with you there,i've heard the dagger, the end,and the enemy(whats with all the "the" songs)and all 3 have made me want to rip my ears off(especailly "the end"),this entire album(with the exception of a select few)just appears to be a nu metal fiesta, truely pathetic in my eyes,i'll stear clear of this sh**

If you mean new metal, yes, there is a lot of NWOAHM in there. There is even a decent black metal songs with Dani Filth on vocals. I don't recall any nu-metal, however, so I don't know what album you were listening to.
