Radio 1 have an annual 'Legends' week, where they select legendary acts to record unique 'Legends Sessions' at their famous Maida Vale studios.

Monday will feature a session from Sir Paul McCartney - his first visit to Maida Vale since 1965 with The Beatles, and Wednesday features The Prodigy - their first ever session for Radio 1.

On Tuesday 13th September Radio 1 will broadcast three songs specially recorded by Iron Maiden at Maida Vale last Friday afternoon, before the band travelled across West London to play the special fund raising gig in aid of The Clive Burr MS Trust at Hammersmith Apollo. The last Radio 1 session Maiden recorded was for Tommy Vance's Friday Rock Show in 1979.

The session, which includes an interview with Bruce, will be broadcast between 7pm-9pm on the Zane Lowe show. You can also listen online via the Radio 1 Website.
