KoRn Picks First Single Off New Album

According to FMQB, KORN have selected "Twisted Transistor" as the first single off their upcoming album, due on November 22 via Virgin Records. The single is scheduled to go for radio adds on October 3.
KORN's recently inked deal with Virgin is believed to be for two albums and a one-third interest in the band's publishing, merchandising and ticket sales as part of a new contractual model, a la Robbie Williams. The band's as-yet-untitled new effort was mixed by Terry Date, who has previously worked with such artists as DEFTONES, PANTERA and SOULFLY, among others. Matrix (AVRIL LAVIGNE, THE MOONEY SUZUKI) and Atticus Ross (BAD RELIGION, PINK) were responsible for the production duties on the follow-up to 2003's "Take a Look in the Mirror", with no songs from the band's sessions with Dallas Austin slated to appear on the effort. Other songtitles expected to appear on the CD include "Liar", "Politix", "Last Legal Drug", "Le Petit Mort", "It's Me Again", "Coming Undone", "I've Seen It All" and "Souvenir of Sadness".
KORN's last release, "Greatest Hits, Vol. 1" (Immortal/Epic), featuring highlights from the first 10 years of the band's recording career, has sold 967,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Having been a korn fan for quite some time now I am completely well and truly gutted with the new song. Have a listen yourself sometime if you will. People hate korn for no particular reason. Usually because they are hip hop influenced I presume and also being the pioneers of nu metal. The fact is they are still around and fairly successful too and that is because they are the best at what they do. Anyway, I like the new song. It's different.... I like how Korn reinvents their sound...it shows how talented they are and it shows that they never run out of ideas... Granted, I do like their old stuff better...but this is a single...it's only one song...and most of the singles that they put out I don't like as much as the other songs on that certain album. Most of the time the singles that they put out aren't as heavy as the other songs on the album. But anyway, I dig the song, I can't wait until the album comes out....I'm very excited...:) Korn will always be number one for me...:D And please, all u non Korn fans....why don't you find something else better to do....lol silly kids...

I don't think I've come even close to encountering anybody quite as unpleasant as that 666 guy...death metal and such can be fun in short burtsts (as the music is the way it is) but anybody who listens to the stuff ALL THE TIME and nothing else MUST be a coupla cans short of a six pack... I'm a TRUE BLU Korn fan, have been since the first lp all those years ago... proof, for me, of their staying power and all round brilliance is the fact that I was big into Manson at the same time in '94 but, while I eventually started to become disillusioned with each new Manson release, I've LOVED every Korn lp up to the present and am looking forward to the new joint much as I always have... they're one of the few bands I still get excited about and are about 30,000,000 times better than crap like My Chemical Frickin' Romance... I'm into rap as well as metal and always have been and am continually thrilled to see one of my very favouite bands in Korn collaborate with hip hop musicians... anybody who just automatically dismisses any type of music out of hand just because the're not into it is a fool in more ways than one... surely those of us into metal should know that better than anyone!!! Korn were once a great [nu]metal band, and until they slide entirely off the metal scales, we'll continue to report on them. IMO, Untouchables was total crap, but they showed that they might have some redeeming value left in them with their followup album (before the covers album). Who knows now? We'll be keeping an eye on what they do post-Head and with a new record deal.

The Deftones is a great band, but Chino doesn't have a lot of range like Maynard James Keenan does...I think TOOL has some of the most talented musicians on the planet...Chancellor is an excellent bassist, Danny Carey is by far the best drummer working today, Maynard....nobody can match his vocals, and Adam Jones is awesome

Most of their debut was great,
The second record more than half the songs were somewhere between good and listenable but this album is where the duds begin to arrive.
Follow the Leader had maybe 4 good songs, Issues maybe the same number but the lyrics were horse sh** and the whole album was rushed to cash in.
Untouchables was daring with 4 really good songs, but none even close to metal however (here to stay, hollow life, Thoughtless and Alone I break) but still mostly sucked.
I didnt even pick up Take a look in the mirror as there were exactly 2 good songs and I just burned them from a friend, the worst korn song ever happens to have Nas on it....
I passed on the hits record..."word up" and "the wall" were garbage.....
