I just saw Opeth at SOTU...amazing. I have to admit that I didn't know much about them prior to the show...but they won me over pretty quickly. They stood out at that show. I'd have to say they were one of the bright spots at the show...the others being All That Remains, DevilDriver, High on Fire, SYL, and Clutch (yeah I know Clutch had no business being on the SOTU...but they were amazing musicians nonetheless). I am not saying that there weren't others that were good as well...but those bands broke some of the monotony for me. Oh yeah...I was talking about Opeth...I went out and bought a couple of their records the day after the show...I am impressed. Anyone who hasn't taken time to listen to Opeth should give them a try. I think you'll find it worthwhile.

Symbolic is right about the forum, full of sad fanboys with nothing to do, but wonder what the name of Peter Lindgren's cat is (I'm NOT joking).

It's not down. It's just closed to new members.People wont be able to join until the release date.

In another topic, due to lack of willpower and just utter weakness on my part, I downloaded the whole album. It's pretty much everywhere now.I got it off LimeWire.

I'll say this, Opeth did not disappoint and delivered one of their best(hard to believe I know, but IMO this one is incredible).I will never doubt these guys, ever.

i also saw opeth at SOTU. everyone was chanting their name like the gods they are. they put everyone including me into this trance of musicla bliss and was not released until they had finished. i also balieve that if u have not heard about opeth that u are not into metal. these guys bring another meaning to metal and should always be recognized as metal revolutionists. c'mon not many bands can play or have the chem. like this group does to deliver such amazing sounds.
