More Throwdown Tour Dates Revealed
Throwdown will headline the first ever "To Die For" tour this fall, sponsored by the popular Orange County To Die For clothing line and the crucial PureVolume website.
Remembering Never (Ferret), The Agony Scene (Roadrunner) and Sinai Beach (Victory) will join Throwdown, whose new album on Trustkill, "Vendetta," debuted at #156 on the Billboard 200 and #4 on the Heatseekers chart.
"We're very excited about this tour and we're even more stoked about all the bands that we are taking out," said Throwdown guitarist Matt Mentley. "To Die For is a great company we have worked with for a very long time and we're proud to have their name, along with Pure Volume's, associated with our first headlining tour for 'Vendetta.'"
Throwdown - rounded out by singer Dave Peters, bassist Dom Macaluso, drummer Ben Dussault and new guitarist Mark Choiniere - has spent this summer on the inaugural "Sounds Of The Underground" tour alongside Unearth, Chimaira and more.
To Die For is a clothing company based in Throwdown's native Orange County. The "To Die For" tour will be Throwdown's first headlining run in support of "Vendetta." The album's first single, "Burn," was just added by MTV2 and Fuse TV.
The past year has seen Throwdown take part in Ozzfest 2004 and tours with Lamb Of God, Fear Factory, As I Lay Dying and Norma Jean and treks to Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Japan, where "Vendetta" was released by Trustkill/ Roadrunner. The album was recorded in February with producer Zeuss (Hatebreed) and released in the US last month through Trustkill. The first 50,000 copies include a bonus DVD.
Remembering Never is touring in support of their breakthrough Ferret album, "Women and Children Die First." Midwestern metal merchants the Agony Scene's "The Darkest Red" features killer production from Rob Caggiano (Cradle Of Filth, Bleeding Through) and Sinai Beach's "Immersed" debuted at #198 on the Billboard charts.
