American Nightmare Premiere "The World Is Blue" & Detail Upcoming Self-Titled Album

American Nightmare announce their new self-titled album will be released on February 16th via Rise Records. A clip for the first single to be launched from it, “The World Is Blue“, can be streamed below. The band recorded the album at Mystic Valley Recording Studio in Boston, MA with drummer Alex Garcia-Rivera behind the boards.

Says frontman Wes Eisold of the effort:

“In making this record we had one goal: To make a hardcore punk album that was true to American Nightmare, who we were then and who we are now. No filler, just existential poetic venom. This is ground zero, a new life for the band. Thematically this album is a response to the old lyrics, a reassurance of all of the uncertainties and existential fears. I still struggle daily with whatever lasting depression I unfortunately inhabit in my head; it’s deep-rooted and I needed to get this out in this form.”

“This is a new start, it really is. We are now in the band we always wanted American Nightmare to be with the lineup, the songs, and the name back. It feels full circle in the sound of the music referenced earlier, but it also feels complete in that we took the reigns of the band and its past and made a new American Nightmare album… and now we are ready to move forward with it.”
