Queens Of The Stone Age’s Josh Homme Kicks Female Photographer In The Head At Live Show
Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme can be seen kicking a female photographer in the head in a clip streaming below, which was captured at KROQ Acoustic Christmas past Saturday.
The photographer - Chelsea Lauren - said the incident was unprovoked and that Homme was even smiling before he struck her. In the video, Homme can be seen walking past Lauren, then backtracking a step to kick away her camera.
“It was obviously very intentional,” she said.
It’s unknown if the 44 year-old Homme was under the influence of alcohol or drugs on Saturday. Minutes after the incident with Lauren, he pulled out what appeared to be a knife and cut his own forehead, producing a wound that bled for the rest of the performance. At one point, he called the sold-out audience "retards" before insulting the night’s headlining act, Muse. “F— Muse!” he exclaimed. He also encouraged the crowd to boo him, told everyone to take their pants off, saying, "I want to give you all a night you’ll never remember."
Homme has since issued the below apology for the matter:
