Sinai Beach Guitarist Leaves Band

Southern California hardcore brutes Sinai Beach are down a guitarist. Mike "the Bear" Risinger has left the band. His statement has been posted on the official Sinai Beach website:

Hey everybody. Well, the time has come for me to leave the band. I feel like my work is done and it is time to move on. I have sat on this for a while now, and it is time to let go. Sometimes in life you just know when you're done, know what I mean? I have accomplished a lot. These last 3 years have been great. I got to see the world, make tons of friends, and record, in my opinion, the heaviest record that I and the guys have ever made. This band is in for some serious touring and a lot of work coming up, and to be honest it is a commitment I am not suited for. Let it be known that me and the guys are on the best of terms and they will eternally be my brothers.

I'm still going to write some heavy crap and maybe even do another non-touring band in the future. There are other avenues in music outside of playing/performing that I am going to explore as well. I'm very stoked to announce I am going to be joining up with Ryan Downey and the Superhero management team. Those of you who know me know I am not done with music, ever. Period. God bless all of you and keep it heavy!

Love, Mike Risinger - "The Bear"

The band is currently seeking a replacement. Anyone interested in the position, go here for more information.
