Friday has arrived and that means a slew of new metal and hard rock albums are now available digitally, via label mail order, or in that dwindling number of stores that still carry physical products. Honestly, I'm not even sure if you can still buy CDs where I live since all our record shops shut down.
So, what's out this week that's actually worth hearing though? Below we've rounded up the best of mainstream and indie releases across the entire genre spectrum that you should be checking out. From black metal to stoner rock to prog, here's what's out today (August 25th):
Howling Giant - "Black Hole Space Wizard: Part 2" (fuzz / stoner rock)
Grande Royale - "Breaking News" (heavy hard rock)
The Haunted - "Strength In Numbers" (death / thrash)
