"some music was meant to stay underground..."

New Band Spirits Of Fire Formed From Ex-Judas Priest, Savatage Members

Tim "Ripper" Owens, Chris Caffery, Mark Zonder and Steve Di Giorgio launched a new musical project entitled Spirits of Fire (after the title of one of the new songs)! This new outstanding supergroup is currently halfway through recording the debut album. The music can best be described as "classic Priest meets Savatage."

“It's going to be a great album!” says producer Roy Z and fans can look forward to a release in the early part of 2018 via Frontiers Music Srl.

Frontiers Music Srl is known for being one of the most creative labels around with our keen ability to build new bands and projects featuring musicians of outstanding quality and who come from unique backgrounds. While the A&R vision has mostly been concentrated in the melodic rock genre, it should be noted, for those who haven't picked up on it from some of our releases in the past few years, that there is always a "Metal Heart” beating in the head offices in Naples, Italy.

So, after an intense brainstorming session, a dream team of renowned metal musicians including Tim "Ripper" Owens (ex-Judas Priest, Iced Earth), Chris Caffery(Savatage, Trans-Siberian Orchestra), Steve DiGiorgio (Testament, Death, etc.) and Mark Zonder (Fates Warning, Warlord) was born and put together under the direction of renowned LA-based producer Roy Z Ramirez (Bruce Dickinson, Halford, Tribe Of Gypsies).

Stay tuned for more information coming soon!

Anything with DiGiorgio is gold. Spirits of Fire makes me thing of Mahavishnu Orchestra (Birds of Fire & Inner Mounting Flame, I guess). Looking forward to hearing what this supergroup turn out.
