Doom Side Of The Moon Celebrates Pink Floyd's Legacy With "Time" Video

To celebrate 50 years of Pink Floyd releasing music that changed the world, The Sword guitarist Kyle Shutt has produced a heavy metal cover of seminal album, "The Dark Side of the Moon."

Titled Doom Side of the Moon, the resulting band and album features Shutt and a host of celebrated musicians including his bandmates from The Sword, bassist Bryan Richie and drummer Santiago Vela III, vocalist Alex Marrero (Brownout / Brown Sabbath), saxophonist Jason Frey (Black Joe Lewis / Hard Proof), and keyboardist Joe Cornetti (Croy & The Boys).

Engineered and mixed by Stuart Sikes, the LP will be released on August 4th, a date which marks the 50th anniversary of the release of Pink Floyd's debut album, "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn."

Today, Doom Side Of The Moon unveils a music video for an amped-up version of the Pink Floyd classic "Time." Directed by Robert Mustachio of The Mustachio Light Show, the video mimics portions of the visual trip-scape laser show that Mustachio will unleash during Doom Side Of The Moon's live debut on Saturday, August 5th at Emo's in Austin, TX.

Always prepared for a good time, Shutt offers a seven-step process on how to best enjoy the new tunes:

1. Turn on your PS4
2. Resist the urge to play 'Mass Effect: Andromeda'
3. Go to your YouTube app
4. Enter "Doom Side of the Moon 'Time'" into the YouTube search engine
5. Roll up a big ol' fattie
6. Turn off all the lights
7. Put that shit on full screen and enjoy!
