Mastodon Sign With Warner Bros.
Mastodon, who've been wined and dined by countless majors since Leviathan was released in August, have become the latest metal act to board the corporate ship. According to a Warner Bros. source, the Atlanta quartet has left its longtime home at Relapse. The source said the deal was finalized two weeks ago.

Wow...from Relapse to Warners.....Good for them.
They earned it, those guys have been slugging it out in a sh**ty van for a loooong while, doing alot of setting up their shows without a crew (it seems) not so long ago. So long as their able to keep their rage and not go soft...Lamb of God held it together so that is encouraging....On a similar note, Shadows Fall are being courted by the major labels since they left century media as well. I guess a year or two from now we'll see if the bands mentioned still manage to impress....I'd be surprised if any of those bands compromised anything to be honest.
I'm just hoping we don't end up with a casualty like Hopesfall.....eeesh....from "Satelite Years" to "A-types"....WTF!?!?!

hopefully WB will be as good to mastodon as relapse was, and not rape them like most big corporate companies. good luck to the both of them
