Legitimate question: is the name implying he's a weed wizard who happens to also be a woolly mammoth and is a right bastard to everyone? I feel like there's as many interpretations here as Gaytheist or Anal Vomit.

A few possibilities:

The band name is inspired by a friend of the band who is an obese hairy man borne out of wedlock with a penchant for both the chronic and D&D.

Given that the band members are all slender, maybe the mammoth doesn't apply to physical size. These three gents and lady could be working in concert to control a mammoth network of dope supply between the Welsh mountains and Dee Valley. The wizard moniker could be inspired by the lyrics to Black Sabbath song. Additionally, due to their illicit activities, their fathers have all disowned them disavowing any association with their drug trade.

Or maybe their original name: Colossal Coffee Coffin Cousin didn't catch on - despite the alliteration.

Their bandcamp page lists the following:
3 ape descendants and an astral seraphim combining their powers to generate colossal interstellar arias of plutonium weight.

P.S. The music is pretty good doom/sludge. I'm digging how the female vocals complement and contrast the plodding thick riffs.
