Tommy '86 Announces "Transhumanism" Album Release
Tommy '86 is a French synthwave musician heavily influenced by the 1980s. After his latest EP, Tommy '86 experimented with distortion to see where it would take him, resulting in “Transhumanism.”
Combining pulsating, distorted leads that spiral and expand over jagged bass lines that cut like a knife – this is equal parts Dan Terminus hyperactivity with Perturbators's slow, crawling meditations upon rising motifs, and coincidentally both of those musicians make guest appearances here.
The story of “Transhumanism” takes place in the year 2332, in a world dominated by machines. The L.V.T.H.N. Project – initially developed for scientific purposes – set out to emulate a human brain. Its progressive A.I. was compiled from the collective digitization of human thought, which allowed it to think and learn by itself. But L.V.T.H.N. soon surpassed mortal intelligence and spiraled out of control.
Due out October 28th, pre-orders are active now at this location and the full track listing is as follows:
