Former Cradle Of Filth bassist Dave Pybus has helped start a new label. It's called SixSixSix Records. The first releases - both due at the end of May - will be 'In Absence Of Light' from symphonic black metalheads Draconian Order and 'Blood 'N' Roll' by Italian goths Bloody Mary.

What the hell is wrong with black metal? Personally I think Cradle Of Filth have gone to far in their careers to say they are black metal. They seem to have warped into something different (Not bad I might say?). Sure if I was labelling them they would be BM but I mean they are a far site from Mayhem and Darkthrone.

Why in the hell would anyone want to listen to dudes that paint there face up like a corpse and run around on stage like they have any talent (they don't) The only bands that are good any more are BLS, korn, megadeth, otep, and a few others. I would name more but they don't play anymore. Trust me I play guitar in a band and I know if a guitar player is good or not and there is nothing good about cradle of filth

Although i cant speak for new cradle of filth, death to black metal why dont you try listening to dusk and her embrace, theres some good guitar in that album, and if you think cradle of filths guitarists suck and your a korn fan you have a hell of a lot of explaining to do there.

You play guitar in a band death to black metal ? No sh** dumass, me too. Lol, korn better than Filth?
The only bands that are good anymore are those? sh** man you need to listen to some more metal. Ever heard of Nile, Cryptopsy, Necrophagist, Alarum? There you go, the four most active technical bands I listen to. And Metal I might add, not a hint of "core" or "nu"

Cynic, the bands I named was the only bands that are good that still play. I can name some more though, cannibal corpse, slayer, metallica (there old stuff). The best metal band I think ever played was pantera, but I'm going to apoligize to all the people I've p***ed off that listen to black metal, people that hate black metal (like me) have no business talking about it. I don't think I would like it if someone said sh** about my favorite band (pantera) so I'm not going to say sh** about yours unless me or my music is bashed in anyway.

Another band member gone..will Dani ever be able to stay with the same lineup?
Death to black metal- I know you apologized, but I must say:
To me the corpse-paint doesn't matter. And they're not just running around. It's the music..and most of it's pretty f***ing hard to play. Right on with Pantera.
Cynic- Ahh Necrophagist is f***ing amazing. I can't stop listening to Epitaph. Nile is pretty insane too. I think they're planning some tour together..

I Can safely say i listen to a lot of black metal, and i can say im not dumb enough to run around shouting dani filth is the best black metal singer, and cradle of filth are the best black metal band, But cradle of filth has created some masterpieces and in the true black metal world they are underrated, i think there music is hard to play as a guitarist/keyboarded......or i just suck haha ,but i like cradle, there new stuff aint as good as there previous but its still worth a listen, and as for the people that call them sellouts and claim to be Dimmu Borgir fans (im not aiming this at anyone in particular, i have just witnessed people like this), didnt Dimmu do ozzfest? and who was special guest apperaing on battle for ozzfest? on MTV!?, i rest my case, i like Dimmu too, When it comes to black metal i like a lot of bands from that genre from Venom To Emperor To Satyricon, but i still like cradle, and i think we would of witnissed various classics if they would of keep the cruelty and the beast line up.

quote= I thought that you guys would be the best people to ask this. I am a big fan of children of bodom, I don't consider them to be black metal but everyone I know says they are. Someone please tell me if they are or not.
Nope...IMHO they are a Power Metal Band with Death Vocals...
No Comments on the Actual Bands on the Label then? Just another series of 'are COF actually Black Metal' Gubbins as Usual....

every now and again i'll give deicide and morbid angel a spin, but that music just doesn't draw the crowds to their shows.
That's because their live shows just down kick as much as the "core" or "nu" bands.
Morbid A. go down pretty well live, but when a band like machine head, korn or slipknot get 20,000 kids to jump up and down together and go insane, it just makes technical death metal bands look plain lame in comparison.
