Alan Robert Launches Pre-Orders For Horror Coloring Book

Coloring books for grown-ups have exploded in the U.S. since 2015, selling millions of copies and crowding bookstores and bestseller lists with black and white line art.

The majority of the titles focus on nature and abstract patterns, so it was only a matter of time until a different type of coloring book came along that would cut through the sea of mandalas. Case in point - "The Beauty of Horror: A GOREgeous Coloring Book" by Life of Agony bassist/songwriter Alan Robert and published by award-winning IDW Publishing.

This unique, horror-themed coloring book for adults is filled with 80 pages of Robert's original, hand drawn, and nightmarish illustrations. It is already in the Top 5 on Amazon's Hot New Releases List and it doesn't even hit bookstores until October 4th. The Beauty of Horror is available for pre-order at a reduced price for a limited time at Amazon or over at Barnes & Noble.

"I think the main reason why people are so excited about 'The Beauty of Horror' coloring book is that it's something different for coloring fans. Nature and peaceful, abstract patterns don't appeal to everybody. There are a ton of coloring fans out there with darker, edgier tastes, and they're hungry to find an alternative to the norm. This book speaks to them," Robert explains. "It's art therapy for the abnormal."
