"some music was meant to stay underground..."

Skan Issues Recording Update

Joseph Merino of U.S. metal outfit Skan just issued this update from MicroMega Recording Studio:

"Things may have seemed quiet this past year, but far from the such it has been. Final recordings for the year of Škan have begun with the drums tracks finished over the course of this weekend. Bass and guitars will soon begin, followed by vocals. After the mix and mastering are complete, it will mark 5 Škan releases for this year with Ván Records.

"On a personal note, this will bring a very long chapter to a close, opening another to further horizons. It has been a very long and tedious path thus far, and I honestly can express that it has been real and worth it. I am grateful to have worked, as well as currently working with some phenomenal people along the way. How the tribe grows. So many thanks to give. So much so I could not possibly name the many here. So in the present, from the past, and into the future we sail.

"Thanks to all. Though from a distance the fire is hard to see at times, how brilliant and vast does it glow, ever more so. See you fuckers soon."
