Slipknot's Clown Miss Show Due To Wife's Illness

Slipknot percussionist Clown (a.k.a. Shawn Crahan) was forced to miss the group's appearance on NBC's "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" Tuesday night (March 1) after his wife was taken ill. "The band actually dedicated their performance to him and his family — that is what [Slipknot frontman] Corey Taylor said as the song started," a Roadrunner spokesperson told Blabbermouth.net. Crahan's wife reportedly suffers from Crohn's Disease.
Slipknot will kick off their "The Subliminal Verses Tour" with Lamb Of God and Shadows Fall on March 4 in Hartford, Connecticut.

forget about how big metal is getting...he missed a show. Craig was the first to ever miss a show cuz of a toothache, and only a few months later Shawn (who WAS my fav. member of the band) misses a show because his wife is ill??? Suck it up and perform with your band you faget! I had some hope that my respect for slipknot would come back, but when i saw nothing but a mask by Shawn's percussion, That was it. Everyone face facts...Slipknot is over, and even though they are around now, it will all be over soon. Face the truth.

has anyone here ever heard of glassjaw? the singer has crohns disease and he often records while he's experiencing it...im assuming it's a horrible affliction 'cus that guy sounds more enraged and tortured than just about any singer i can think of......
so in reference to clowns wife i would say if my gf was going thru this i would take the day off from work and be at her bedside too cus it must be a miserable ordeal, much respect to clown hope his wife gets better soon
as far as slipknots fate.....this has been their most commercially successful outing and the albums been well recieved by critics as well (some fans are a little taken aback though)
i know this band is full of turmoil but thats part of their sound, the frustration seems to come thru the music (drums and vox especially *listen to three nill* ....which is somehow fitting being that those 2 have other bands to think about)

Its been proven, but still....people look at their bands at different point of views. and i just think if i were in a band as famous as slipknot i would do the 4 minute song, and then care for my wife. I think if this were '99 clown would have showed up. Its sad how we cant look at slipknot the same way anymore. and its just a matter of time until it ends, and we wont see them period. And for the last dude, i didnt say they would break up over this show. They ARE going to break up . you cant always keep your favorite band in your pocket, and if thats what u want, go support someone thats struggling to make ends meet by working at burgerking by day and playing in a hardcore band by night, cus they need u more than slipknot does.

i ran into three of the posers that are in slipknot about 8 months before they signed on with roadrunner. all these dorks could talk about was their record deal but they didn't reveal who they were signing on with. i was at a dive bar in downtown des moines called hairy marys...all these dork asses could say was "have you seen my mask" and other stupid sh**. to be honest with you, half the dudes in that band couldn't qualify to work at a Subway serving sandwhiches...also, i ran into Corey Taylor just outside another watering hole in des moines just before he started his side project stone sour and at that time his exact words were " i am f***ing done with slipknot"......he was p***ed off at several band members and he was tired form their touring...it looks like they needed money and corey prostituted himself out again.......and to think i used to see these clown asses play at teh Ranch Bowl in Omaha NE for $5 a show............they polayed with bands like the URGE which if you do your research, they are not a heavy metal band at all....Slipknot used to love playing with the URGE from ST LOUIS.......now they would laugh at such an insult...they all are poser a$$ b**** boys
