Nucleus Posts New Song "Cube" From "Sentient" Album
Unspeakable Axe Records is set to release "Sentient," the otherworldly debut album from Chicago's Nucleus, on April 15th.
Drawing inspiration from outer limits of science fiction, Nucleus plays a twisted and bizarre strain of death metal in the vein of Atheist and under-appreciated, yet boundary-warping innovators such as Timeghoul and Demilich.
Lyrically, "Sentient" steers away from the usual death metal topics in favor of themes based on the headier dimensions of Isaac Asimov, Arthur Clarke, and Frank Herbert. Cover art for "Sentient" was painted by the Dan Seagrave and the track "Cube" can be heard below.
