Dissona Covers Johnny Cash's "Ring Of Fire"

Chicago's Dissona has new album "Paleopneumatic" out now, and during the recording process the band set up a Pledge Music Campaign, where the highest backers could request a cover song.

For the first cover song, the band was requested to cover Johnny Cash's "Ring Of Fire," which is now on line and can be heard below. Vocalist Matt Motto explained the process to the Metal Insider:

"As part of the highest tier rewards, the backer was allowed to request any song for us to cover and we would arrange and record the track as our own interpretation. We thought it would be interesting to create a version of "Ring of Fire" that is as contrasting from the original as could be while still maintaining the iconic melodies that everyone has come to know."
